Our Doll Process
|
It all starts with a sketch of a doll onto a piece of paper, creating a blue print that includes all the doll details and measurements of the doll size that we want it to be. Then, we proceed by sculpting the prototype doll using “La Doll” clay. Everything is sculpted with the exact measurements as the doll sketch.
After the clay parts are done, we proceed with the molding process. Once the molds are done, we proceed with the resin mixing and casting. After casting the resin, we leave it outside for 24 hours just to make sure the resin is ready before the sanding process. We use elastic string to attach all the doll pieces together, and use the hooks to connect the doll’s head, hands, and feet. Every part of the doll will be fitted and tested together just to make sure they will fit and work when we include all the mechanisms. Now our doll is ready for her painting. Her eyes are made of high quality resin, hand painted with acrylic paints and her eyelashes are made of high quality mink eyelashes. After painting the doll, we proceed with making wig caps and then doll wigs. Our wigs are handmade with high temperature fiber. Our doll outfit are made by hand with details, embroidery, beads, and rhinestones. Every doll we create is original and unique, which makes our work spectacular and truly one of a kind. |
